Monkey See/Monkey Do 4/30 edition!

This Monkey See/Monkey Do is an Orly FX water marble inspired by Enamels Kelly. She used Aurora Ludurana. I don't have any of those, so I used my Orly FX polishes. I think I can do this better, and may try this again in the very near future.

I started with a base coat of Spoiled Visually Slimming, (my new favorite black). Then I marbled with Rock-It, It's Not Rocket Science, Space Cadet, and Galaxy Girl.

This was a neat mani that I can't wait to try again.

Monkey See, Monkey Do 4/23

Got into a new group last week that does a Monkey See/Monkey Do challenge every week on Mondays. So Monday will have more posts now. :)

The Monkey See/Monkey Do thing is take a picture you have pinned on Pinterest and recreate/get inspired by it.

My very first one I have loved this mani since the first time I saw it, I KNEW it had to be my first recreation.

So, this is the original I saw from Fashion Polish.

This is my recreation: it consists of Spoiled Visually Slimming (my new favorite black) OPI Servin' Up Sparkle, and the only true jelly I own, Houston, We Have A Purple.

I ALMOST left it like this, it was so sparkly, so beautiful.
Then, I almost left it like this...WTF?!?! LOOK AT THIS SPARKLE!!!
AHHHHHH, just what I hoped it would look like.
I think I am going to love this Monkey See/Monkey Do Monday challenge!

Thanks for looking!

Stampy Sunday 4/22 edition!!!

The theme this week is inspired by music. I went for a specific song. The song is Angel Flying Too Close To the Ground by Willie Nelson. It is mine and my boyfriends song. This song makes a horrible day tolerable. I am usually instantly transported when I hear his first words to him asking me to dance. It was a cold January morning, we were going to go on a ride and met in a tiny town to walk around and just take in the sights.

Anyway, on to the pics. My cuticles are looking terrible on my right hand. Oh, and I have gel polish on it to hopefully keep them from peeling. It's been doing pretty good so far, and you can see the growth on them.

This is Marley, stamped with Mash M22 and Dove, and BM07 and Milani Silver Stillettos for the angel wings.

ZOYA SURF!!!!

Tuesday I did Zoya Beach. Today it's time for the Surf!!!

In my opinion this is the best Zoya collection I have seen, ever. These being metallic the formula was a little different, but completely workable. These were 2 fairly thin coats. These COULD have been 1 careful coat.

With that said lets get to the pics.

I'm a dark, Vampy girl. Carly stole my heart immediately. I can see this getting used, A LOT! She looks familiar, but she is JUST different enough to need the others. I will do comparisons of all the kinda somewhat close ones that I have of this collection VERY soon. If you have any you want me to do, leave me a comment.
 Kimber. A Raspberry sparkle.
Rory. I'm sorry, but I am going to have to call this a he. The color is very nice, but I can only think of Rory Williams. I can see myself wearing this color a lot. I'm not a pink girl, but this is a very nice color.
Myrta. This one is an odd duck. She's a little too orange to be red, but too red to be orange. She's right in the middle.
Meg. I've become more and more enamoured with green. Meg is beautiful.
Zuza. Much like her beach counterpart, she could have used a 3rd coat for picture purposes, but these streaks were not visible IRL.

I really, REALLY loved this collection. I am looking forward to the random nail art  i can create with these.

LOOK!!! Zoya Beach!

So, today I have the Zoya Beach collection for you!

Beach is full of beautiful cremes (and one shimmer). All of these went on beautifully, with the same great formula we've all come to expect from Zoya. All of the pics show 2 coats.
First off Reagan. She is a beautiful raspberry. She turned out to be one of my favorites.
Lara is more of a fuscia. I don't have very many pinks. I'm warming up to them, though.
Shelby is a cute bubble gum pink. Reminds me of Barbie.
Arizona. I'm not a fan of orange. But the way this one went on, I think that could change.
Tracie. The shimmer sets her aside from all the others. I wore Tracie for 4 days. The color is amazing!
And, lastly, Wednesday. Wednesday could have used a third coat, but IRL these streaks were non-existant.

Over all, I am very pleased with this collection. Zoya always seems to have some tricks up their sleeves. I haven't been disappointed with a collection of theirs, yet.

Stay tuned for The Surf collection on Thursday.

Stampy Sunday 4/1 edition!

So Today is April Fools Day. The challenge this week is NO STAMPING!

So here you go. This is a new technique that I figured out while playing on Pinterest. It's kinda like Spun sugar, the same principle. You put some polish on the mat, let it dry a little bit, take a dotting tool or orange stick and kinda stir/lift it bringing it over your nail. I love this technique, and will do a more detailed tutorial soon. Here is the original.

This is Gosh Purple heart, spun with Orly Fresh, Frolic, and Frisky.

I hope you enjoyed this. I loved doing it!
